A Loss for Mossel Bay

Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary is leaving us. Jukani has been a staple on the holiday itinerary of many a visitor to the Garden Route and has been a draw card for tourists to Mossel Bay. For five years this sanctuary has presided over the bay – on top of the hill. Juka and Shanti, the two Bengal Tigers- one of whom lends his name to Jukani- are amongst the great cats of Jukani. Spirit is a black leopard of incredible beauty and stature. Amongst others, Jukani is also home to jaguars; cheetahs; lions; caracal and wild dogs. However, the sanctuary is not lost to the Garden Route completely. Loving keepers, Karen; Jurg and their daughter Bianca, are off to live in Plettenberg Bay in May 2013. Farewell Juka and mates: Mossel Bay is going to miss you; we wish you the best of luck in your new home.
