Cont’d Rwanda Part 7

After leaving the gorillas it was down to the west to a town called Gisenye on the Congolese border and also bordering the very large lake – Kivu. The lake was very beautiful but there wasn’t much to do there.

The lake was quiet and peaceful. I think this would be an ideal place if you wanted to go and lie on a beach or on some thick green kikuyu grass next to the gently lapping waters- and read /sunbathe to your hearts content.  There were hot springs but this turned out to be a non-event for me as the water was so hot that I couldn’t even put my finger in for more than a split second- no bathing there! There were fishing and farming villages around and many markets to photograph.
